…. celebrate 45th Anniversary of the school in Grand style
Students of the Orin High School, Orin Ekiti, in Ido Osi Local Government Area of Ekiti State have been advised to uphold the legacy that the school is noted for which are discipline, hard work, integrity, moral and academic excellence.
Old Students of the school gave the advice during a lecture and career talk which was one of the activities lined up to commemorate the 45th Anniversary of the school.
In a paper presentation, a former Council Chairman, who is also an Alumnus of the school, Elder Benjamin Fatope warned the students against social vices and other acts that could destroy their career and bring disrepute to the school.
He asked the students to strive hard for academic excellence and take a cue from some old students who have excelled in their chosen careers.
In a remark, the National President of the Union, Evangelist Rotimi Ojo promised the readiness of the old students to assist in the infrastructure development of the school so as to enhance teaching and learning.
He appealed to old students both home and abroad to support the various developmental projects initiated by the Alumni Association for the school.
Earlier, the Chairman, Publicity Committee, Elder Oluwatuyi Aroge expressed the readiness of the Alumni to continue flying the flag of the school higher by projecting the school to the world and making the school to favourably rob shoulders with their counterparts around the globe.
The programme attracted old students from all works of life who used the opportunity to reunite, reminisce on the past and strategize on how to support the development of their Alma-mater.
The old students had also moved round town to sensitize members of the public on the need to give their children sound education. The first day of the anniversary is being rounded up by a novelty match
The grand finale of the program holds tomorrow Saturday at the school premises where dignitaries in the likes of the Ekiti State Hon. Commissioner for Education, Dr. Adebimpe Aderiye and many others will be given an award in appreciation of their excellence deeds.
