The Alawe in council has suspended one of the Deity Priests of the community, Mr Sunday Olu Adetolaju as the Ororin of Irorin Ilawe Ekiti for various infractions and disobedience to Ekiti State Chiefs law as well as violation of Ilawe-Ekiti tradition, culture and customs.
Addressing newsmen in Ilawe Ekiti, the Alawe of Ilawe Ekiti, Oba Adebanji Alabi said by the Power conferred on him as the Prescribed Authority over minor chieftaincy matters in Ilawe suspended Sunday Adetolaju as the Ororin and a Deity Priest in Ilawe Ekiti indefinitely.
The Monarch alleged Mr Adetolaju of installing some people as Chiefs without due recourse to the Alawe and contrary to the Chiefs law, however banned him from performing any traditional duty in Ilawe Ekiti.
Oba Alabi therefore announced Tunde Bamgbotogun to act as the Ororin and gave him order to perform all Ororin duties at the Oke Orin and Owa Orin.
