Former Senate Representative of Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, has said it is normal but too early to impeach the Senate President, Godwin Akpabio.
He said this on his X handle @ShehuSani while commenting on the House issues.
Recall that some senators have commenced manoeuvring to impeach the Senate President when the upper chamber reconvenes on September 26. Those behind the development accused Akpabio of playing the role of a lap dog for President Bola Tinubu rather than serving the overall interest of senators and Nigerians, Vanguard reported.
According to Sen. Sani, Akpabio has done nothing wrong to deserve impeachment.
“It’s normal for the aggrieved forces in the National Assembly to stalk Akpabio and wait for the best time to strike, but it’s too early to even think of impeaching him, and there is nothing wrong he has done to warrant impeachment. But he should always watch his back.”
