The Nigeria Air Force, NAF has disintegrated the Weapon storage facility of one of the most wanted terrorists operating in Niger State.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Air Vice Marshall Edward Gabkwet, the Air Force’s Spokesman, revealed that reliable Intelligence had disclosed the terrorists’ storage site.

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) planes participating in Operation WHIRL PUNCH (OPWP) have not stopped destroying terrorists and their supplies, specifically in the Northwest and North Central areas of Nigeria,

Gabwet said “One such success was recorded on March 15, 2024, when strikes by NAF aircraft successfully targeted and destroyed terrorists’ logistics storage situated in Palele near Shiroro in Niger State,”

The official stated that permission was acquired prior to the agents attacking the objective, and that a follow-up blast verified that the weapons and ammo had been destroyed.

“The operation, which was executed with speed and precision, resulted in significant damage to the target area, including a secondary explosion confirming the destruction of arms and ammunition.

The weapons are believed to be affiliated to a particular terrorist’s kingpin who is on the most wanted list of terrorists,” he stated.

“These strikes have undoubtedly degraded the capabilities of terrorist elements operating in the region to attack innocent civilians, especially in Kaduna and Niger States,” Gabkwet said, urging the public to support efforts against terrorists and other criminal elements.
