Agunbiade Felicitates Former EKSU’s VC, Prof Kolawole on 77th birthday

A prominent stakeholder in Ekiti State, Ayo Agunbiade has felicitated a former Vice-Chancellor of Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti (EKSU), Prof Dipo Kolawole on the occasion of his 77th birthday.

He described the University don as a grand mentor to many mentors with teeming downlines of mentees, whose impact on his life and family can not be overemphasised.

Agunbiade, in a statement personally signed by him and made available to journalists in Ado-Ekiti, prayed God to grant him years to live a more impactful lives.

The statement reads, “This is wishing my very own daddy, Professor Dipo Kolawole, the Pride of Efon Kingdom, a 77th happy birthday. Every 26th of February is your day sir.

“Though my surname is Agunbiade, I proudly call you my daddy and I will forever be grateful to you. It takes one man to give birth to somebody but it takes more than the one man to father the person. I am thankful to you for fathering me and fathering me well despite my(as a child) inadequacies and excesses).

“Your positive impacts on my life are just too numerous to count. Your fatherly direction rerouted the course of my life to a better one which I am proud of and thankful for today. Your benevolence to my family, and most recently to Olumide my son, will always remain indelible and there is no how I can thank you enough, Sir.

“You are a grand mentor to many mentors with teeming downlines of mentees. I am thankful for the opportunity you gave me to be found around you.

“Therefore, I sincerely pray to God to grant you many more years of good and impactful living. Daddy, you will always remain ever young. You will never have a better yesterday, in Jesus name. Amen.

“Daddy, I humbly take this medium to apologize for my past misdeeds.”

This year’s edition of the Don’s birthday was celebrated to a surprise breakfast lecture organized by a small group named Dk Boys at Prof Kolawole’s Ado- Ekiti home.

Prominent amongst the DK Boys is Atayese Oluremi Omidiji Jackie, a retired seasoned administrator at Ekiti State Local Government Service.
