The Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Ekiti State Council has condoned with the government and people of Ekiti-State over the death of the Speaker, Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Funminiyi Afuye.
In a statement in Ado Ekiti, Chairman of the Union, Comrade Rotimi Ojomoyela described the death of the speaker as very painful and unfortunate.
According to him, no one could imagined that the late speaker who was full of life and energy on Tuesday when he went out with the Governor could die so soon.
He noted that the speaker died at a time his service is most needed particularly his wealth of experience and guidance for the new government.
Ojomoyela noted that Rt Hon. Afuye would be greatly missed with a prayer to God to grant him eternal rest and grant his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
