The African Union, AU has said that the Gross Domestic Product, GDP, growth resilience has continued to bring surprises, saying that Africa growth is projected to bounce up in 2023.
This was made known by the AU, Commissioner for Trade and Industry, Albert Muchanga during the recent AU session.
As obtained from the Twitter handle of the AU @_AfricanUnion, Muchanga said, “Africa’s growth in real GDP was estimated at 3.8% in 2022, down from 4.8% in 2021 but above the global average of 3.4%. Growth is projected to rebound to 4% in 2023 and consolidate at 4.3% in 2024, underpinning Africa’s continued resilience to shocks.”
