The duo of the Chairmen, Board of Directors of the Broadcasting service of Ekiti state, and that of Amotekun Security Outfit, Chief Laolu Omosilade and Rtd Col. Tunde Oluwayose have empowered several Party faithfuls and youths at the Afao/ Araromi ward at Afao Ekiti with cash worth thousands naira.
Chief Omosilade said that the exercise is a kind of giving back to their constituency and that the beneficiaries of the empowerment were devoid of any partisan considerations.
He noted that the gesture was their own little contribution towards reducing poverty among his people.
The Amotekun Board chairman, Hon. Oluwayose commended Governor Biodun Oyebanji for his Sterling performance in the state and called for his re election to enable the good work to continue.
Both donors said that the reelection of the Governor for second term would guarantee the continuity of good governance.
They called on the people of Afao Ekiti to continue to support the lofty programmes of Gov. Oyebanji, who is trying his possible best to develop the state better than he met it.
Presenting the gifts on behalf of the donors, the Party Ward Chairman, Mr Oke Adejorin and a Party Leader, Hon Tope Omosilade expressed the Party’s appreciation to the donors and adviced the beneficiaries to make good use of the financial gifts
The exercise was attended by hundreds of party faithfuls from all the farmsteads and the community.
