Promises Aggressive Mobilization for BAO
Barely four weeks to the Ekiti State Governorship election, the deputy governoship candidate of the Action Democratic Party ( A.D.P) Comrade ldowu Afuye has joined the All Progressives Congress.
In a statement in Ado Ekiti, Afuye said that his decision to return to his base was due to the alleged disregard of the flagbearer of the party Erelu Elebute-Halle for party structure and lack of internal democracy in the party.
He also alleged that the candidate had been going around looking for the highest bidder, hence the need for him to move before his political career is destroyed.
He said “My decision to return to my base the All Progressive Congress ( A.P.C) today is because I have critically examined the platform on which I can contribute my quota to the developmnent of my dear state, and most importantly where the interest of my numerous supporters can be protected, cum a platform that has the love of the Ekitis in mind.
“Another fantastic aspect of it is the robust ldeology of the gubernitorial candidate Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji BAO, l must state unequivocably, that B.A.O knows the knitty gritty of governance in Ekiti, he was the secretary of the State creation committee at a tender age.
“He was Chief of staff, and later Secretary to the state government. So l made bold to say to you and to all every Ekiti indigene with genuine love for Ekiti state, that has analytical eyes knows that BAO remains the most charismatically qualified candidate for the governoship at this time .
Afuye said he was moving in to APC with over twenty thousand supporters drawn from across the sixteen local governments area of the state.
He promised BAO and the All Progressives Congress of an agressive mobilsation of all his structures and contacts for victory in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Ekiti come June 18.
Receiving Mr. Afuye on behalf of the BAO Campaign organization, Mr. Akin Fasae welcomed the former ADP leader and urged him to live by his words.
