Ado Heritage Honors Ekiti First Lady on Birthday

In a heartfelt message, the President of Ado Heritage, Bashorun Tope Alabi has eulogized Her Excellency Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji on her 2024 birthday anniversary.

In a statement published today by the Secretary of Ado Heritage, Akeem Bello, Bashorun Tope Alabi acknowledged Dr. Oyebanji’s deep compassion, dedication, and transformative contributions to the welfare of Ekiti State’s citizens through her renowned pet program: Widows and Orphans’ Hope Project (WAOH Project).

Describing the First Lady, Alabi said she is “a beacon of hope, a pillar of strength, and a true servant of the people.”

He also stated that through WAOH, Dr. Oyebanji has not only touched lives but has built a legacy of service that extends to the most vulnerable across Ekiti State, including widows, the elderly, orphans, and others in need.

“Through WAOH, she has woven a tapestry of compassion that offers relief to those in pain, hope to those in darkness, and a future to those in need,” he said.

Additionally, he noted that WAOH represents more than temporary relief; it is a lifeline that enables individuals to rebuild their lives with confidence and dignity, noting that the initiative has empowered widows with financial literacy, small-scale business loans, and skills training, allowing them to achieve self-reliance.

Speaking about Dr. Oyebanji’s program for the elderly, he said her initiative has provided healthcare, emotional support, and companionship, renewing a sense of belonging for those often neglected.

Commending Dr. Oyebanji’s support to her husband, Governor Biodun Oyebanji, Tope Alabi said, “Her Excellency has been a stalwart partner, offering him wise counsel, strength, and an uncommon commitment to Ekiti’s growth and stability. As the governor is confronted with complex challenges of navigating Ekiti problems, she stands as his pillar and confidante, infusing his administration with the values of empathy, unity, and resilience.”

Bashorun Alabi also appreciated Dr. Oyebanji’s representation of Ado-Ekiti cultural legacy, saying, “We are immensely proud to count Her Excellency among our own. She personifies the finest virtues of Ado heritage’s strength, compassion, and a spirit of service. Her achievements inspire not only the people of Ekiti but also generations of women, children, and families who see in her a role model and a guiding light.”

“On this special day, Ado Heritage stands united in celebrating Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, a woman whose life’s work has created ripples of transformation across Ekiti State. The entire membership of Ado Heritage conveys their warmest wishes and profound gratitude for her service, praying that her future continues to be filled with peace, purpose, and fulfillment.
