It was a joyous occasion as the Lions Club International, Ado Ekiti Central Lions Club, inaugurated Lion Aderonke Ologunde as its new president for the 2024/2025 Lions Service Year.
The colourful ceremony, held in Ado Ekiti, highlighted the club’s dedication to humanitarian service and community impact.
Speaking during the public presentation, the District Governor,404-B2, Nigerian, Lion Tolulope Ayodeji Sebanjo, congratulated the newly inaugurated president, urging her to remain committed to the organization’s objectives, driving growth and positive impact in the society.

Represented by the Second Vice District Governor, Lion Oluomo Sunday Akere, Lion Sebanjo also encouraged her to focus on membership growth and expressed optimism about her future performance.
“ I appeal to you to focus on growing your membership, creating exciting activities to retain existing members, and contributing to LCIF, which enables us to make a global impact. I also implore you to serve your community in line with Lions International’s global causes, such as vision, hunger, environment, and diabetes awareness”.
In his welcome address, the chairman of the investiture committee for the year 2024/2025, Lion Tokunbo Okunnuga, lauded those who grace the gathering.
In her keynote address, the chairman of the occasion, Dr Tolulope Monísólá Ola acknowledged the association’s significant contributions to the growth of the society, urging them to continue their excellent work.
Dr. Ola expressed her gratitude to the club for recognizing her efforts, promising to remain committed to community service.
She also called upon well-to-do individuals in society to utilize their resources to support the less privileged.
In his speech, the outgoing president, Lion Olalade Allen Alebiosu, emphasized some of the contributions the club has made through its humanitarian services and appreciated members for their support during his tenure.
“As I pass the baton to our incoming President, I do not doubt that our club will continue to grow and thrive. Let us keep shining a light in the darkness, let us keep serving with humility and love.”
In her acceptance speech, the new president of Lions Club International, Ado Ekiti Central Lions Club, Lion Aderonke Ologunde, promised not to jeopardize the confidence reposed in her.
“I am so delighted today to stand before you all as I take the mantle of leadership of the foremost Lions Club in Ekiti State. I want to thank the members of this noble club for electing me to occupy this exalted position of responsibility and service”.
The club, in collaboration with Dr Ola, also used the event to empower 20 underprivileged indigenes of Ekiti state.
In addition, awards were conferred upon several distinguished individuals in recognition of their outstanding contributions to humanitarian services.
