EKITI ASSEMBLY REVIEWS TENURE OF COUNCIL CHAIRMEN

The Ekiti State House of Assembly has extended the tenure of elected local government Chairmen from two to three years.

This followed the ratification of the report submitted by the Chairman, House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Mr Reuben Awoyemi, at a plenary, in Ado Ekiti.


According to the report, the extension would come to force after the December election into the councils.
