U.S. Donates $6M to Over 200,000 Nigerians Affected by Floods

The U.S. government said it has provided $6M in humanitarian aid for over 200,000 Nigerians affected by floods.

The US Mission to Nigeria said this today in a statement via its official Twitter handle, @USinNigeria.

According to the statement, Anambra and Bayelsa are the two most hit states in the 2022 flood.

The statement reads, “The U.S. government continues to provide humanitarian assistance to Nigerians affected by the 2022 devastating flooding, including Anambra and Bayelsa, two of the hardest hit states.

“USAID provided $6M in humanitarian aid, benefiting over 200,000 people affected by the floods.” The statement added.
