Traditional Ruler Lauds Group for Family Support Initiative in Ekiti

A first class traditional ruler in Ekiti, the Olukoro of Ikoro-Ekiti, Oba (Dr.) Adebanji Adeleye has lauded a community group, Galaxy Club for initiating a Family Support program tagged Galaxy Women and Student Empowerment Program which featured giving of financial support of forty thousand naira each to a selected twenty five women and distribution of NECO forms to a selected twenty students among others in Ikoro-Ekiti community on the 6th of April.

Speaking at the event, the Olukoro of Ikoro-Ekiti who was represented by the Ominio of the Kingdom, High Chief Adebomi Adeyeye commended the group for thinking in this direction bearing in mind the current economic situation in the country.

According to him; “in her usual manner, the Galaxy Club has once again demonstrated her love for the community in particular and mankind in general. This kind gesture in the face of the current economic situation in the country is indeed a confirmation of her determination to ensure that the effect of the hardship is relatively alleviated among our people. On behalf of Olukoro, and the Olukoro in Council, I sincerely thank all the members of the Club for thinking in this direction and I pray that the Almighty God will continue to bless them and support them in their different endeavours.”

In his remark at the event, Olayinka Akomolafe who spoke on behalf of the Galaxy Chief, Jide Ayeni said the initiative is centered on “giving back to our people and supporting them at this particular time. We are standing on our founding principles, which is making impact in the lives of our people and contributing to the general development of our community. We are determined to make our people happy and make their businesses proper.”
