The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has declared the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Governorship flag bearer, Sim Fubra as the Governor elect in Rivers State in the just concluded 2023 Gubernatorial elections.
INEC made the declaration yesterday, after collating results from all the Local Government Areas at its state headquarters in Port Harcourt.
The total valid vote is 483,934, Fubra has 302,614 vote making 82.2% of the total vote, and the first runner up is the All Progressive Congress, APC, Tonye Cole 95,274. While Beatrice Itubo of the Labour Party got 22,224 votes to become the second runner up.
