Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti Shuts Down Academic Activities

The Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti, has shut down academic activities due to the forthcoming general elections.

In a circular issued in Ado-Ekiti, on Tuesday, by the Registrar of the institution, Mrs Kehinde Ekanem, said the Polytechnic will be closed from Wednesday, 22nd February, to Tuesday, 14th March, 2023 in compliance with the directive of the Honourable Minister of Education.

“Following the directive of the Honourable Minister of Education, the Executive Secretary, National Board for Technical Education, NBTE, in a Circular Ref. No: C/TEB.792/VOL.II/39 dated 10th February, 2023, has directed that all Polytechnics and similar tertiary institutions be closed from Wednesday, 22nd February, to Tuesday 14th March, 2023.

“In view of the forthcoming general elections which are scheduled to hold on Saturday, 25th February, 2023 for the Presidential/National Assembly and on Saturday, 11th March, 2023, for the Gubernatorial/State Assembly.

“Consequently, the Polytechnic will be closed from Wednesday, 22nd February, to Tuesday, 14th March, 2023 in compliance with the directive, and reopen on Wednesday 15th March, 2023.

“All Deans, Directors, Heads of Department/School Officers are to note and bring this circular to the attention of their Staff and Students.”
