… advocates improved welfare for workers
Nigeria Labour Congress NLC, Ekiti State has joined others to congratulate Governor Biodun Oyebanji on his outstanding 100 days in office.
In his congratulatory message, the Chairman of NLC in Ekiti State, Comrade Kolapo Joshua described the governor as a great achiever, true democrat, lover of all and workers friendly.
Comrade Kolapo Joshua said that governor Oyebanji had touched many sectors within his hundred days in office through prompt payment of workers” salaries, rehabilitation of roads among others .
The NLC Chairman prayed God to continue to give him the require knowledge and understanding to lead the state aright in the next four years.
Comrade Kolapo Joshua used the opportunity to appeal to governor Oyebanji not to forget all his promises for Ekiti workers by ensuring payment of outstanding salaries, leave bonuses, implementation of minimum wage to workers on grade level 14 to 17, given financial backing to 2019 to 2022 promotions, creating conducive environment for them and other entitlements.
He also appealed to the governor to ensure regular release and increment in subvention to the state tertiary institutions to improve the education sector and promised that Ekiti workers would support his administration to attain greatness.
