18th January, 2023

As Nigeria inches closer to the 2023 elections,

Atiku-Okowa Campaign Group, Nigeria and Diaspora(ACGND) has pledged to continue engaging in activities that will ensure victory for the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

This was said in Ado -Ekiti by the National Secretary of the group in Southwest, Dr. Victor Asaolu during a mega rally for the party.

Dr. Asaolu explained that the group had been extending hand of fellowship to less privileged, students, youths and women for years, adding that  the  group will do more  after the emergence of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

He said he attended the rally  to boost morale of  members of the group in Ekiti State and to let everyone know that Atiku will win the presidential election handsomely.

“We only plead and appeal to Nigerians to Atikulate because Atiku is the only Presidential candidate that can change the present situation of Nigeria, economically, security wise and any other area you may talk of”, Dr. Asaolu averred.

In his remarks, the Zonal Coordinator for Ekiti and Ondo States for Atiku/Okowa Campaign Group, Nigeria and Diaspora Coalition, Mr. Bola Agboola opined  that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar was passionate about the development of youth and women.

Agboola urged Nigerians to vote for PDP and Atiku  during the polls.

He stressed that the appointment of ‘Demola Olarewaju as Atiku’s  SA on Digital Matters is a testimony  that  Atiku means well for all category of people in Nigeria.

“If you look at Atiku’s  manifesto, you will agree with me that the manifesto has a lot to do with the youths.

“Amongst all the Presidential candidates in Nigeria today, Atiku is the most experienced. You will recall that during the President Olusegun Obasanjo administration, where he  served as the Vice President, he headed the economic team of that administration.

“The country’s debt status was reduced to zero. All those debts were written off  through some  expertise and you will agree with me that Atiku Abubaka played vital roles to achieve such feat”, he said.

Agboola appreciated the  SouthWest Zonal Coordinator of the group , Dr. Olorufemi, who is also from Ekiti State.

He said the group has  presence in each and every unit in Ekiti State from units, wards, Local Governments, State, Zonal and entire Southwest.

Also speaking during the rally,  Ekiti State Coordinator, Atiku Okowa Campaign, Nigeria and Diaspora, Mrs. Lanre Fajuyi called on the women, widow and less privileged to come out in large numbers to vote for all the PDP candidates during the elections.

She noted that the country needed someone who can change the narrative for good, saying Alhaji Atiku is the person.

She lamented over the cost of goods and services brought by the APC government.
