Christ’s School Alumni 1982-87 Set Offers Scholarship to Students

Launches new Teaching ICT Application
at Alma Mater

The Christ’s School Alumni Association, 1982-87 set has  offered scholarship to some indigent but brilliant students of  school.

The exercise which took place at the school premises was part of activities lined up to mark the 35th Annual General Meeting AGM of the group which was rounded off on Sunday with thanksgiving service at the Christ’s School Chapel.

In addition, the set launched a new technological application  known as “Document Management System” which is expected to enhance teaching, learning and monitoring of students for improved academic System .

Addressing journalists during the dinner party, which was one of the programmes commemorating the home coming, the president of the set, Professor Folarin Oguntoyinbo said the group was planing to do more in subsequent years.

He affirmed that the the ground had resolved to mobilize more funds so as to give back impressivel to their Alma mater and to also support some of their struggling members.

Professor Oguntoyinbo advised the beneficiaries of the scholarship and other students to be focused so as to graduate with good grades and sustain the good record of the school.

He noted that the Document Management System would create better opportunity for students of the school to learn fast and be able to compete with their counterparts globally.

The President appreciated members for their donations which was used for the projects and hoped to improve on membership drive so as to generate funds for the group to embark on meaningful projects.

At the dinner which was held at Adetiloye Hall, Trade Fair Complex, Ado Ekiti, guests including a philanthropist, Adepoju Ajayi known as Jasper and an aide to Ekiti State Governor,  Professor Mobolaji Aluko showered encomium on the 1982-87 set for giving back to their root and urged them to sustain such.

Highpoint of the occasion was the presentation of awards to some outstanding members of the set and other personalities.

One of the award recipients, is the vice president  of the set and incumbent chairman of the Trade Union Congress TUC Ekiti State, Comrade Sola Adigun.
