Patronize Home Based Engineers…NSE Urges Governor Oyebanji

…treats members to dinner, award personalities

It was a merry moment, as members of the Society of Engineers, Ado Ekiti branch converged to celebrate 2022 annual Dinner and Award Presentation.

Delivering the annual lecture at the programme held in Ado Ekiti, a former Commissioner for Infrastructure in Ekiti State, Mr Bamidele Faparusi urged   the state government to put in place  policy  that will attract investors to invest in  solar power that will serve thousands of house hold  in the state.

According to him, such idea would break barrier of power epileptic especially in the rural areas.

Mr Faparusi explained that it would also serve as source of income to the state government as the investors would be paying tax from the money generated from  subscribers.

In his speech, the Chairman of the Nigeria Society of Engineers, Ado Ekiti branch, Dr Oluwasegun Aluko appealed to members of the society to form a common font in order to move the society forward.

Dr Aluko who promised that the present executive members would continue to do what will give the society recognition appreciated those present at the occasion for finding time to attend.

He appealed to present administration to patronize home based engineers while  awarding  construction works to contractors.

At the programme some prominent persons  including Professor  I.E Owolabi,Professor A.O Adetifa,Professor  S.A Ola,Professor A.O Adeoye,Engineers Bayo Akinola, Olumuyiwa Fatoba, Dare Abegunde, Kunle Kolade, Micheal Ogundare, and M.O. Ogunjobi were given award of excellence for their contributions to society development.
