WENDY COALITION FOR BAO EMPOWERS TRADERS IN EKITI

Small-scale businesses have been described as an integral part of economic growth in every society.

The Founder of Wendy Coalition for BAO, Ms. Yewande Abimbola Aribasoye observed this in Ado Ekiti while distributing cash grants to petty traders in Ekiti State.

Yewande said the importance of empowering women can not be overemphasized considering the role women play in ensuring the well-being and stability of the family which is a catalyst to economic growth.

Otunba Kayode Fasae Jimlas in his own remarks urged the beneficiaries of the business support to judiciously put to use the grant to ensure the financial independence of their respective homes as a means to support their husbands.

BAO Ambassador, Alhaji Dauda Lawal, Adl Brand while delivering his address, described Yewande as a woman of substance and a role model considering her various initiatives which have impacted the well-being of the society.

He said the philanthropic activities of Yewande will go a long way in complementing the efforts of the Wendy coalition for BAO and Ekiti state Government in enhancing economic activities in the State, saying that the two foundations will continue to uphold the core objectives of establishing them devoid of any political consideration.
