EKITI FIRST LADY SEEKS MEDIA SUPPORT FOR HUSBAND

…receives Ekiti NUJ leadership

Ekiti State Governor’s wife, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji has sought the  support of the media organizations and professionals  towards the success  of the present administration.

The Governor’s wife who spoke in Ado Ekiti while receiving the executive members of the state council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, explained that media plays critical role in success of any government.

According to her, the media can either make or mar a government, hence the need to build a strong partnership with the sector so as to enable government achieve its dream of making life better for citizens.

Dr. Oyebanji gave an assuarace that the activities of the union would be supported within the resources in the capacity of the office of the first Lady.

“Any government that will survive should not toy with journalist because the institution is very close to the people” she said.

Earlier, the Chairman of NUJ Ekiti State Council, Comrade Rotimi Ojomoyela  intimated the Governor’s wife with the Programmes lined up to mark the press week of the union urging her grace the occassion.

He therefore pledged the support of the members of the union for the present administration.
