The Global Executive Council of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife Alumni Association has commiserated with the family, friends and members of the Alumni Association on the demise of the Speaker of Ekiti state House of Assembly, Right Honourable Funminiyi Afuye.
In a statement, the president, Global Executive Council of OAU, Engineer Wale Olaleye particularly condoled the Ekiti state chapter of the Great Ife Alumni on the sudden demise of Right Honourable Afuye who is one of them.
According to Engineer Olaleye, the Global Executive council shared in the grief of Ekiti people and pray that God will put a permanent stop to untimely death among them.
They also prayed God to grant the family of the deceased the heart to bear the loss and fill the vacuum created by the death of the Speaker.
Until his death Right Honourable Funminiyi Afuye was a notable member of Great Ife Alumni Association Ekiti Branch.
