Ikogosi Warm Springs Resort has been recognized again as the Nigeria’s Best Holiday Resort, winning the top prize at the Hotel Managers Conference Africa (HMCA) Awards 2026 held during the 8th edition of the conference.
The award marks the third time the Ekiti State resort has received the honour, following previous wins in 2023 and 2024.
HMCA is Africa’s leading gathering of hospitality professionals, investors, operators and tourism stakeholders.
Organizers said the award celebrates excellence, innovation and outstanding contributions to the growth of the hospitality industry across the continent.
The recognition also highlights the transformation of Ikogosi under the management of Glocient Hospitality, a portfolio company of Cavista Holdings. Since taking over operations, Glocient has invested heavily in infrastructure, guest experience, accessibility and destination marketing, repositioning Ikogosi as a top destination for leisure, wellness, meetings, conferences and executive retreats.
Speaking after receiving the award, General Manager of Glocient Hospitality, Sharafa ‘Lanre’ Balogun, said the win reflects the team’s commitment to service delivery.
“Winning this award for the third time is both an honour and a responsibility. It reflects the dedication of our team, the confidence our guests continue to place in us, and our commitment to continuously raising the standard of hospitality at Ikogosi Warm Springs Resort,” Balogun said. “We remain focused on creating memorable experiences while showcasing the immense tourism potential of Ekiti State and Nigeria.”
HMCA Convener, Olugbenga Sunday, commended Glocient Hospitality and the Ikogosi team for their consistent support of the conference.
“Your commitment to excellence in destination management greatly enriched our programme. Congratulations to Ikogosi Warm Springs Resort on a well-deserved win as Best Holiday Resort,” he said.
Beyond the award, Glocient Hospitality used the conference to showcase Ikogosi’s transformation at its exhibition booth, engaging investors and tourism stakeholders from across Africa. The General Manager also spoke on a panel about hospitality sales, destination marketing, and sustainable management.
The resort’s growing profile was further underscored by a recent visit from former Botswana President, Mokgweetsi Masisi.
Known for the rare natural confluence of warm and cold springs flowing side by side, Ikogosi Warm Springs Resort has become a preferred venue for leisure travelers, corporate organizations, government institutions and event planners. It is also gaining ground as a leading MICE destination in Nigeria.
With this latest recognition, Ikogosi reaffirms its place among Nigeria’s premier hospitality destinations and Glocient Hospitality’s push for innovation and sustainable tourism development.
