The National Executive Council of the Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools has resolved that subsequent NEC meetings will be hosted on a rotational basis across states of the federation, with immediate effect.
In a statement, the National PRO of the Union, Dr. Felix Oluwaseun Agbesanwa, said Ekiti State will host the maiden rotational NEC meeting as the home state of the National President.
According to the statement, all past national leaders residing in or around the host state will be specially invited as observers to the historic meeting.
Activities will commence with the arrival of National Administrative Council members on Tuesday, July 14, 2026.
The NAC meeting will hold on Wednesday, July 15, which is also the arrival date for NEC members.
The NEC meeting proper is scheduled for Thursday, July 16, 2026, while delegates will depart on Friday, July 17, 2026.
Comrade Agbesanwa wished all delegates and members travelling from far and near a safe journey as they gather to advance the progress of the union.
