Prof. Aribisala stated this in a congratulatory message to Governor Oyebanji, which was made available to journalists in Ado-Ekiti by the University’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Femi Esan, following the Governor’s re-election victory.
He noted that the outcome of the poll reflected the electorate’s appreciation of Oyebanji’s people-centred approach to governance, inclusive leadership, and commitment to the development of Ekiti State.
The Vice-Chancellor further stated that the Governor’s overwhelming mandate at the polls was not only historic but also a clear affirmation that good governance, humility, accessibility, and responsible leadership continue to resonate with the people.
He congratulated Governor Oyebanji on what he described as a remarkable electoral victory, expressing confidence that the renewed mandate would further accelerate the administration’s developmental agenda across critical sectors of the state’s economy.
Prof. Aribisala particularly commended the Governor for his sustained investment in education and human capital development, describing the establishment and continuous support for the Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin-Ekiti, as one of the enduring legacies of the administration’s commitment to expanding educational opportunities and driving technological advancement.
According to him, the cordial relationship between the Ekiti State Government and FUTES-IYIN has continued to create an enabling environment for the young institution to grow, while positioning it to contribute meaningfully to research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable national development.
The Vice-Chancellor said the university community was proud to identify with a government that places premium value on education as a catalyst for economic transformation and societal progress.
“Your re-election is a reflection of the confidence the people have in your leadership and the tangible impact of your administration across the state. It is also an affirmation that governance anchored on integrity, inclusiveness, and service will always find acceptance among the people,” he said.
Prof. Aribisala prayed for divine wisdom, sound health, and greater strength for Governor Oyebanji as he begins another term in office, expressing optimism that the administration would consolidate on its achievements and deliver even greater dividends of democracy to the people of Ekiti State.
