Jubilation galore as APC Chieftain, Barrister Ayeni distributes free fuel to Okada Riders in Oye-Ekiti

It was a moment of glitz and glamour as a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Barrister Yemi Ayeni, popularly known as YAA, distributed free fuel to over 500 commercial motorcycle riders (Okada Riders) in Oye-Ekiti, as part of efforts to support their livelihoods amid rising fuel costs.

Speaking with journalists, Ayeni said the initiative was driven by his longstanding commitment to humanitarian service and support for the grassroots as well as his unalloyed dedication to the reelection bid of the state Governor, Biodun Oyebanji.

He explained that the gesture was aimed at easing the financial burden on motorcycle riders who rely on daily earnings to feed their families, lamenting that the high cost of petrol has made it increasingly difficult for many riders to sustain their operations.

Ayeni acknowledged that while the intervention might appear modest, it would go a long way in helping beneficiaries maintain their daily means of survival.

While stressing that the initiative was not driven by personal gain, Ayeni acknowledged the long-standing support he has enjoyed from the grassroots and expressed appreciation to the riders and other community members.

He thereby urged the beneficiaries to extend similar support to Governor Oyebanji during the June 20, 2026 gubernatorial election.

Speaking with various beneficiaries, they expressed their profound gratitude to Barrister Ayeni for the kind gesture, pledging to vote and mobilise for Governor Oyebanji come June 20, 2026 gubernatorial election.
