Youths from across Ido Osi Local Government Area of Ekiti State have expressed readiness to participate fully in the monthly wellness walk tagged BAO Walk, organized by a former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Bimbo Daramola.
The wellness walk was initiated with the aim of promoting a healthy lifestyle among the people of Ekiti State, in line with the agenda of Governor Biodun Oyebanji.
Speaking with newsmen during separate interviews in Ido Ekiti, Ifaki, Aaye, and other communities under the Council, the youths confirmed that they are extremely cheerful, energetic, and happy that the walk is coming to the council, having gone round ten different locations, with the last one held in December at Ikere Ekiti.
According to those who spoke with our correspondent, they confirmed that they have started preparing and mobilising other people to be part of the exercise which they acknowledged was essential for healthy living and promotion of togetherness.
The youths affirmed that walking is the best form of exercise that has been prescribed by medical experts, hence they commended Hon. Bimbo Daramola for introducing the initiative which they said had complemented the huge investment of Governor Biodun Oyebanji in the health sector.
Meanwhile, the convener of the exercise, Hon. Bimbo Daramola has confirmed that all necessary strategies to ensure smooth walk within the town have been put in place urging the people to come out in large number.
