The people of Agbado Community in Ayekire Local Government Area of Ekiti State were overwhelmed with joy after one of their prominent sons, Olalekan Ijidale, Director General of the Bureau of Local Content, donated two open markets and solar motorized boreholes.

In addition, fifty women were given fifty thousand naira each to support their businesses, while ten thousand notebooks were distributed among pupils and students of public and private schools in the council.

The people of the council, who couldn’t hide their feelings, rolled out drums and sang different songs to show gratitude to Hon. Olalekan Ijidale.

Governor Biodun Oyebanji, represented by the Special Adviser on Political Matters, High Chief Jide Awe, commended Ijidale for giving back to his people and representing the APC government well during the official commissioning of the markets and boreholes.

The Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Sola Eleshin, described Ijidale as a true patriot of APC and ambassador of Governor Oyebanji, urging the community to make good use of the projects and continue supporting the administration.

The Owa-Ooro of Agbado Ekiti, Oba Adeyemi Adesina, expressed gratitude to Ijidale for investing in his community and prayed God to bless him.

Beneficiaries, including teachers, students, and aged women, were seen in joy, appreciating Ijidale for the kind gesture.

Earlier in his remark, Ijidale said the donation was motivated by his love and passion for his people, who supported Governor Oyebanji’s administration.

He noted that the funds for the projects were proceeds from his income as an appointee and other means, stressing that the people deserve the best for their support.

He urged the community to mobilize electorates ahead of the June 20 governorship election to vote for Governor Oyebanji for more purposeful leadership and development in the state.
