Ekiti ’26: PDP Stakeholder, Ogunsakin exudes confidence in Oluyede’s candidature, says Party’ll appeal Court’s order

A stakeholder of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, Deji Ogunsakin, has exuded confidence in the candidature of the party’s gubernatorial candidate in the state, Dr Wole Oluyede, despite recent developments surrounding his exclusion from the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC’s list.

Ogunsakin assured party members and the general public that the party remains firmly in the race, saying there was no cause for alarm as Oluyede remains the legitimate candidate of the party.

The PDP Stakeholder disclosed that the party would appeal the judgment of High Court, expressing optimism in vindication while still maintaining that the primary was the most peaceful and transparent exercise conducted in the state in recent times.

He alleged that the developments were part of a broader plan to turn Ekiti State into a one-party state by shutting the PDP out of the June 20 governorship elections.

Ogunsakin accused certain interests of attempting to manipulate the situation, warning that any refusal by INEC to further monitor PDP primaries would effectively amount to denying the party the opportunity to field candidates in the elections.

He urged PDP members in Ekiti, across Nigeria, and in the diaspora to remain calm and resolute, assuring them that the situation was under control and that the party would emerge stronger from the crisis.
