Mrs. Ayodele Aladesuyi, a veteran broadcaster with Radio Nigeria’s Progress FM 100.5, marked her 50th birthday and 20th wedding anniversary in Ado-Ekiti, as colleagues, friends, and family members gathered to celebrate her life, career, and enduring marriage.
The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ekiti State Council, Comrade Kayode Babatuyi, described Mrs. Aladesuyi as a disciplined and upright media professional whose career reflects the core values of journalism, stressing that her integrity and commitment to ethical practice have earned her respect within the union and the wider media space, he noted.
The Director-General of the Bureau of Community Communication, Ekiti State, Mrs. Mary Osho Omotosho, praised the celebrant’s dedication to duty, describing her as a courageous broadcaster who speaks the truth without fear or favour and remains firm, blunt, and responsible in the discharge of her professional responsibilities, she noted.
The General Manager of Progress FM, Dr. Bola Agbaje, alongside the Head of Programs, Mrs. Fatimo Bello, commended Mrs. Aladesuyi’s professionalism, reliability, and factual approach to program presentation, adding that she continues to serve as a role model to younger broadcasters and a stabilizing force within the station.
Other dignitaries at the event, including former Permanent Secretary Mr. Sola Ogunmiluyi, High Chief Nurudeen Bakare, the Oluare of Ilupeju Ekiti representing the Apeju of Ilupeju Ekiti, Oba Sunday Awe David Akingbade, and representatives of various associations, described her family life as exemplary, noting that her 20-year marriage reflects commitment, understanding, and mutual respect.
Mrs. Aladesuyi thanked God for His faithfulness and expressed appreciation to colleagues, friends, and family members for their support and goodwill, reaffirming her commitment to professionalism, ethical journalism, and service to humanity as she continues her journey in life and career.
