

The Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji has hailed the Chairman, Ekiti State Sports Commission, Hon Sunday Ola over his giant strides in sports development under his initiative tagged: “Fit For BAO, Fit For All”.
The Initiative, which commenced in November, 2024 has gained massive momentum among stakeholders of All Progressive Congress (APC), party lovers, sports enthusiasts, who prioritise healthy activities.
Speaking with journalists in Ado-Ekiti on Saturday, Oyebanji commended the Convener for his tireless efforts in the last one year, noting that the initiative complements his efforts towards making sports in the state attractive to athletes and creating enabling environment for them.
The Governor, represented by the Director General, Ekiti State Bureau of Community Communication, Mary Oso-Omotoso promised to support the commission, while also reiterating his efforts towards reclaiming talents who have changed their allegiance back to Ekiti.

The Chairman of the Commission, Sunday Ola expressed his delight at the Governor for his giving him an enabling environment to operate, saying his contributions to the development of sports in the state is second to none.
Ola, who emphasized that health is wealth, noted that sports activities like the Initiative, will enable residents to develop interest in the sector, which would in turn put the state on the spotlight.
APC Stakeholder, Sunday Ibitoye also commended Sunday Ola for kick-starting the initiative, saying the project has helped the participants tremendously in keeping fit and managing their health.
