Oye-Ekiti Residents Laud Akin Rotimi’s Free Medical Outreach, Seek More Intervention

…as two-day medical mission ends in grand style

Some residents of Oye-Ekiti in Ekiti State on Tuesday lauded the medical outreach facilitated by the member, representing Ekiti North Federal Constituency 1, Hon. Akin Rotimi Jr.

The two-day medical outreach tagged: ‘End-of-Year Medical Mission and Surgical Festival’ began on Monday at the Federal Medical Centre, Ikole-Ekiti and concluded on Tuesday at the General Hospital, Oye-Ekiti.

Speaking with newsmen, Afolabi Pamilerin, an undergraduate student at Ekiti State University Ado-Ekiti, while commending the reps member for the initiative called for more intervention, particularly in the area of agriculture.

She said: “I feel good about this free healthcare. It helps people that are less-privileged that cannot afford healthcare. We want more in agriculture. They should help people with agricultural tools and equipments and lands to cultivate their crops.”

Also, Mrs Adeyemi Oluwatoyin said that the Reps Spokesperson is an excellent and visionary leader, who has prioritized the welfare of his constituents.

In the same vein, Mrs Folade Olabinku said, “I have to say a very big thank you to him. He has been doing a wonderful job and I pray that God will strengthen him to do more. He is a man of the people and we pray he gets re-elected for another term.”

On his part, the Legislative Adviser for Health in his Constituency Office, Hon. Sanni Hakeem revealed that the medical outreach is the first of its kind in the Constituency.

He emphasized that residents of the constituency embraced the initiative adding that there would be more interventions before the end of the year in collaboration with both the federal and state governments.

Meanwhile, a statement earlier released and jointly signed by Sunkanmi Bamigboye, Spokesman, AOA Constituency Office and the Legislative Adviser for Health, AOA Constituency Office reads:

“Rep. Akin Rotimi, Jr. is committed to ensuring that as many people as possible receive the medical treatment and surgeries they need before the year concludes.

“By God’s grace, this initiative will address urgent health concerns and ensure that as many constituents as possible enter 2025 with their medical conditions resolved, and on a stronger footing.

“This program embodies AOA’s vision of leaving no one behind in our collective effort to improve healthcare access within the constituency. May God bless our efforts.”
