The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ekiti State witnessed a renewed spirit of unity and optimism on Saturday as party leaders, aspirants, and supporters converged in Ijesha Isu-Ekiti for the official declaration of Apostle Ayodele Adesua as a governorship aspirant under the party’s banner.

The well-attended event attracted several prominent figures within the ADC, including Amb. Gboyega Aribisogan, former Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly and current ADC State Publicity Secretary; and Chief Kayode Ogunjobi, another frontline governorship aspirant.

Other aspirants who could not attend in person—including Otunba Emmanuel Fayose, Adeyinka Alli, and Ambassador Dare Bejide—were ably represented by delegations of their aides, reflecting solidarity and a shared commitment to the progress and unity of the ADC in Ekiti State.

He urged all governorship aspirants to uphold this spirit of mutual respect, harmony, and collective purpose as the party moves forward in its journey toward the forthcoming election.

In his goodwill message, Amb. (Prof.) Olumuyiwa Babalola lauded Apostle Adesua for his courage and dedication, describing the declaration as “a reflection of the party’s deepening internal democracy and transparency.”
He emphasized that the ADC is blessed with credible and visionary aspirants who share a passion for repositioning Ekiti State on the foundations of integrity, innovation, and inclusive development.

“This is not about competition but collaboration. We are united by one mission — to rescue and rebuild Ekiti through visionary and people-centered leadership,”

His remarks drew resounding applause, underscoring his unifying influence and respected stature within the party. Babalola also conveyed the warm greetings of Dr. Ayodele Ayokunle, the distinguished Senatorial Candidate for Ekiti South in the last election, who extended heartfelt regards to all attendees.

Chief Kayode Ogunjobi emphasized that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) remains the only credible alternative party capable of bringing true change to Ekiti State. He urged all citizens to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and get ready to participate actively in the forthcoming Ekiti State governorship election, stressing that “our votes are our power to shape a better future.”

Hon. Gboyega Aribisogan, in his address, expressed delight at the impressive turnout and reaffirmed the ADC’s commitment to transparency and credibility in the selection process. He assured party members that all aspirants would be provided with a level playing field ahead of the 2026 governorship election.

In his declaration speech, Apostle Ayodele Adesua expressed gratitude to the leaders, aspirants, and members for their presence and pledged to pursue a campaign anchored on integrity, service, and divine guidance.
