...as Members Celebrate End of Year Party in Grandstyle
It was a displayed of culture yesterday at the home of Ochidoma Agaba Idu of Idoma people living in Ekiti State as Indigenes of the Benue state converged to celebrate end of the year party amidst fun and jubilation.
At the end of the year party held in the Ochidoma House in Ado Ekiti, Indigenes of Idoma people living who came to grace the occasion across the sixteen local Governments of Ekiti State danced, sang and displayed their cultural heritage to add glamour to the end of year party as well endorsed Governor Biodun Oyebanji for second term in office.
In her speech, Director General, Ekiti State Community Communications, Mrs Mary Osho-Omotosho applauded the leadership style of Ochidoma of Idoma people living in Ekiti State and promised that Governor Oyebanj would continue to prioritize welfare on non Indigenes.
Speaking at the end of the year party which was also used to flag off tenth anniversary of his coronation as the Ochidoma of Idoma people living in Ekiti State, Otache Oyigocho called for the protection of culture in Nigeria, saying when people moved away from their culture, they loose identify.
The Ochidoma used the forum to commend the state governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji on his efforts to carry other tribes along in scheme of governance and urged him to continue prioritize welfare of Idoma people living in Ekiti State.
Chairman on the Occasion, Mr Emmanuel Sule urged Idoma people across the globe to be of good behaviour, obey the rule guiding their host communities and uphold unity and peace.
