The death of Sunday Abidoye, whose lifeless body was found in one of the rooms at the Creestar Hotel in Sagamu on Wednesday, has been confirmed by the Ogun Police Command. This was revealed in a statement released in Abeokuta on Wednesday by the command’s spokesperson, Omolola Odutola. She said that the Chief Security Officer (CSO) of the hotel, who wished to be called Oluwole, informed the police about the incident involving the deceased customer’s discovery.

“A team of detectives arrived at the scene after receiving the report and discovered the deceased’s body already inside a car outside the hotel. His family was getting ready to take it to the morgue at that time,” Superintendent of Police (SP) Odutola continued.

According to her, Jimoh Godday, the deceased’s brother who lived in Imota Town, Lagos State, told the police team that his brother had flown into Nigeria from the United States on Saturday.

He claimed that after calling Abidoge on Monday and not receiving a response, he went to the hotel. He added that after repeatedly knocking on the door, he asked the hotel manager for an extra key so he could enter the room and find his brother’s body.

Numerous medications and traditional remedies were found in the room.A substance that resembled liquid was soaked in the middle of the bed.

Additionally, Ogunmonti Ogunwole, a friend of the deceased, attested that he went with the deceased to buy nine different kinds of medication the day before because he had been complaining of being sick,” Odutola added.
