…warns against smear campaigns
The Progress Mandate TPM, a socio-political group, has thrown its weight behind Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s second-term ambition, citing his outstanding performance in various sectors of the economy.
During a press conference in Ado Ekiti, the group’s Director General, Mr. Yomi Oso, highlighted the governor’s achievements in education, health, roads, sports, employment, worker welfare, electricity supply, security, youth, and women development.
Mr. Oso condemned those criticizing the governor over federal road projects, noting that President Bola Tinubu has awarded contracts for roads such as Ado-Akure and Ado-Ijan, with work already underway on some projects.
He cautioned those allegedly mobilizing social media influencers to launch attacks on the administrations of President Tinubu and Governor Oyebanji, warning that any attempts to undermine their administrations would be resisted.
The TPM Director General urged the public not to be swayed by unfounded information aimed at maligning Governor Oyebanji’s government.
Others TPM officials, including Director of Monitoring, Research, and Documentation, Mr. Adetunji Aribasoye, and Director of Media, Mr. Dapo Ipoola, also highlighted the governor’s achievements, including increased subventions to tertiary institutions, upgraded healthcare facilities, and modern equipment for the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH).
They therefore said that such achievements were enough to return the governor for second term in office
