Ekiti CJ’s Demise Painful, Traumatising, Bamisile Mourns

The Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Delegated Legislation, Hon. Femi Bamisile, has mourned the passing of the Chief Judge of Ekiti State, Justice John Oyewole Adeyeye.

Bamisile, described Justice Adeyeye as one of his illustrious constituents from Ekiti East/Gbonyin/Emure Federal Constituency, saying the abrupt passing of this outstanding and distinguished Jurist was painful and traumatising to him.

Justice Adeyeye died at the early hours of Tuesday from an undisclosed ailment.

The Federal Lawmaker in a statement issued in Abuja, on Tuesday, said Justice Adeyeye’s death was a personal loss to him, being a brother from Ekiti East Local Government Area of the State.

Bamisile, however, branded the departed soul as a thorough-bred Judicial officer, who discharged his duties with zeal, honesty and sincerity of purpose while on the Bench.

The former Speaker posited that Justice Adeyeye’s sterling and mastery of judicial knowledge stood him out among his contemporaries and catapulted him to the pinnacle of his career as the the number one Judicial Officer in Ekiti State.

He stated that the well rehashed several judicial pronouncement from his courts and landmark judgements he delivered at most critical times, had etched his name in gold as a Numero Uno and one who was above board in character and learning.

Bamisile remembered with nostalgia, how Justice Adeyeye worked hard to give Ekiti judiciary a brand that could earn national respect and trust as well as a reliable fortress that could offer the commoners the last hope and resort while in distress.

“Let me on behalf of my family and Constituents condole with Governor Biodun Oyebanji and the immediate family of Justice John Oyewole Adeyeye on his sudden death. It was a painful and highly excruciating exit.

“To me, it was an end of a dignifying era. He did his best to uplift the judiciary when the opportunity beckoned. He was a pride of the Bar and Bench when he was alive. A core judicial Officer, who loathes biases and embraced neutrality in whatever case he handled.

“I am are touched and jolted by this untimely passing, but take solace in the fact that he lived a life replete with excellence and fulfilments by every standard of measurement.

“May the good Lord grant the family the requisite fortitude and courage to bear this loss”, Bamisile stated.
