In the early hours of Monday, around 3 a.m., a Lexus 350 car was razed by fire at Odo-Aremu Street, adjacent to Oke Ori Omi in Ado Local Government Area of Ekiti State.
According to eyewitnesses, four individuals; three males and one female, were in the vehicle at the time of the incident.
Fortunately, they were rescued by nearby residents just before the car went up in flames and was completely burnt beyond recognition.
An eyewitness who spoke on condition of anonymity said, “We don’t know where they were coming from or where they were headed. When the fire broke out, the doors wouldn’t open, so we had to pull them out through the windows. One of the men managed to reach for his phone and called a friend, who arrived shortly with a car and took them away. Since the incident occurred, we haven’t heard anything from them.”
Thankfully, no lives were lost in the accident.
