Osamagbe Imadiyi

After a turbulent 14-hour delay and accusations of mistreatment by the host nation, the Super Eagles players and officials are scheduled to leave Libya on Sunday.

A sports enthusiast going by the handle Pooja Media revealed this on Monday via his X handle. “Super Eagles players and all officials are boarding to fly out of Libya to Nigeria,” he wrote. Thank God.” Player Bruno Onyemaechi confirmed this by writing, “Me and Libya, I don wash my hands commot. Nothing worries me or Una once more. Thank God I’m going back.”

The Super Eagles’ chartered flight, ValueJet, was reportedly denied permission and aviation fuel by Libyan authorities to return the players to Nigeria earlier.
