STAKEHOLDERS IN EKITI REACT TO POLITICAL COALITION

Mixed reactions have continued to trail the coalition of political parties formed by some politicians to wrestle power with the rulling All progressives Congress during the 2027 presidential election in Nigeria.

The coalition parties on the platform of African Democractic Congress ADC was formed by some aggrieved members of APC and PDP where the Former Senate President, David Mark was appointed as interim National Chairman and former Osun State Governor, Alhaji Rauf Aregbesola appointed as interim National Secretary.

Speaking on the development, a public affairs analyst, Mr Lanare Ogunsuyi described the coalition as a photocopy of original script of President Bola Tinubu, saying it was formed by those who were not appointed by the President.

On his own, a legal practitioner and former Chairman of NUJ, Ekiti State, Dr Tai Oguntayo noted that the coalition was put in place for the selfish interest of some people, saying it was a dead on arrival.

However, a Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party PDP in Ekiti State, Mr Jackson Adebayo noted that the coalition would unseat the APC government in the forthcoming elections, looking at the calibre of people that came together to form the party.

Mr Adebayo therefore called on Nigerians to do everything possible to stop any attempt to turn the country to one party system.
