EKITI NUP GETS NEW EXECUTIVE

….Comrade Popoola emerges Chairman

The Nigeria Union of Pensioners NUP, Ekiti State Chapter has elected new Executive Committee Members that will pilot the affairs of the Union for the next four years.

During the election held in Ado Ekiti, the caretaker Chairman, Adetola Popoola was unanimously elected unopposed after two other candidates voluntarily stepped down for him.

Other executive members are Olebe Pius -Vice Chairman, Emmanuel Bamisile- Treasurer , Adeniyi Olugbenga- Trustees 1, Stephen Olawunmi II while Joseph Ajayi emerged as the Auditor

Others are Ex-Officio members Lucas Sunday Ogunleye, Stephen Olukayode, Prince Adetunji Adetukasi, Mrs Bade Gboyega, Mrs Florence Adebayo, Mr Bayo Olowokere and Mr Sunday Akinyemi.

Administering the oath of office on the newly elected executive members of the NUP, the National Deputy Secretary, Mr Godwin Amadin charged them to form a common font to move the Union forward and carry along the aggrieved members.

In his remark, the National President of NUP, Abumeti Godwin represented by the National Deputy President, Chief Onuh Abdulahi described Ekiti Pensioners as one and sought support for the newly elected executives to achieve success.

In his acceptance speech, the newly elected chairman, Chief Adetola Popoola promised to justify the confidence reposed in him by the Ekiti State pensioners and called on government to continue to place priority on the welfare of his members.
