We Are Reinforcing Our Political Non-Partisanship with Appraisal of Oyebanji’s Administration – Adetola

The Convener of Ekiti Future Agenda, Adesina Adetola, has said that, the organization is reinforcing one of its main objectives of advocating for Ekiti’s development as well as focusing on the state’s collective interests, with its decision to engage relevant stakeholders in giving a genuine evaluation and objective appraisal of the administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji as the state is preparing for gubernatorial election slated for June next year. This is in one of the organization’s periodic Special Roundtables scheduled for July 10th in Ado-Ekiti, the State capital.

According to him, “re-election should be on achievements, it must come with evidence of work done. This is what we are promoting and we are doing this in a very realistic way, devoid of political partisanship or sentiment. It is true that there have seen endorsements here and there, meanwhile, we don’t believe that re-election should just be on a platter of gold, it must be highlighted by the achievements so far.”

“The event aptly titled; Approaching 2026: How Far, How Well, So Far is BAO’s 6 Pillars Of Administration, is principally to genuinely evaluate the Governor Oyebanji’s administration’s achievement so far, based on its 6 pillars of administration; which are; Governance, Youth Development and Job Creation, Human Capital Development, Agriculture and Rural Development, Infrastructure and Industrialization as well as Arts, Culture and Tourism. And this will be done with relative objectivity and sincerity devoid of partisanship.”

Speaking further, Adetola was the opinion that, the incumbent governor, His Excellency, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO), will be 3 years in office on October 16, 2025 and by June next year Ekiti people will once again go to the polls to elect the governor of the state for another four years, therefore; “it is appropriate to look at what he has done and see how far he has kept his campaign promises before we set for another electoral exercise.” He said.
This event will have a good number of political stakeholders, union leaders, youths, students, professionals, artisans, market women, pressmen, members of the opposition parties among others as participants and it is open to all. However, for the sake of clarity, appropriate dissemination of information as well as provision of precise facts and figures, the Director General, Office of Transformation and Service Delivery (OTSD), Engr. John Moyo Ekundayo will be the Lead Discussant of the day while the State’s Commissioner for Information, Taiwo Olatunbosun will chair and moderate the discussion session of the event.
It is good to note that over the Years, Ekiti Future Agenda has initiated and executed numbers of activities, projects and interventions in Ekiti State. Typically, in giving back value to the State, these are in form of advocacy, schemes and education, which have become defining moments in the annals of the state’s development. The Ekiti Future Agenda Roundtable since 2010 is primarily a conversation on development of Ekiti State with the main aim and objective of serving as a rendezvous of ideas and strategies towards development of Ekiti State in all areas.
