GOVERNOR OYEBANJI’S SPOKESMAN ATTENDS EKITI NUJ CONGRESS, SEEKS IMPROVED SUPPORT FOR PRINCIPAL

…restates government’s support for NUJ

The Special Adviser to Ekiti State Governor on Media, Hon. Yinka Oyebode has appreciated Journalists in the state for projecting the image of Ekiti and the present administration in good light.

However, Oyebode urged the media to be more professional and continue to carry out their jobs in line with the ethics of the profession.

Oyebode spoke when he attended the monthly Congress of the union which was held at the Akogun Tai Oguntayo Hall, NUJ Secretariat, Old Governor’s Office, Ado Ekiti and Presided over by the Chairman, Comrade Kayode Babatuyi.

The congress was also attended by the Vice President, Zone B of the Union, Comrade Ronke Samo, a former Chairman, Akogun Tai Oguntayo, GM Fresh FM, Jide Ogunsuyi, some veterans led by their Chairman, Prince Kayode Oni and many other stars in journalism too numerous to mention.

Addressing the gathering, Oyebode attested that journalists in the state have been cooperative but pleaded for more clarifications on every matters so as to avoid misrepresentation as noticed few days ago.

According to him, the Governor holds journalists in high esteem and would go any lent to reciprocate their support.

He commended the leadership of NUJ for coming up with great initiatives aimed at making the council a model.

Oyebode had earlier made donation to support the ongoing shopping Complex of the union at NTA road, Ado Ekiti.
