Again ODF Supply Free Fuel to Mini Bus Drivers in Ekiti

By Francis Adewumi

It was a moment of solidarity for the Founder of Opeyemi David Falegan Foundation, Hon. Opeyemi David Falegan, as he sponsored a free supply of fuel for mini bus and campus shuttle bus drivers in the state capital.

The exercise was designed to reduce the suffering of both passengers and drivers, who have been passing through a difficult time in the country in recent months.

The free fuel exercise took place at Adekaitan Petrol Station, Adehun area of Adebayo, Ado Ekiti, today, Saturday, 17th of August.

This gesture afforded the foundation an opportunity to identify with the drivers as critical stakeholders in the state, alleviating people’s suffering.

Addressing the “Akoto” drivers at the fueling station earlier, before the commencement of the distribution, the foundation’s Director-General, Comrade Samuel Ajibola, said that Hon. Opeyemi David Falegan would soon come to the state to put more smiles on the faces of the poor, who are at the receiving end now.

According to Ajibola, the free fuel was one of many good things that have been coming from Falegan for over eight years. He also stated that with ODF Foundation, their problems in the state are over because he has a listening ear and has always shared in their experiences and pains.

He commended the position of “Akoto” drivers in information dissemination and further encouraged them to remain the foot soldiers of ODF, continuing to carry out the good message of the foundation to all the nooks and crannies of the state.

Reacting, some beneficiaries commended ODF Foundation and Hon. Falegan for remembering the poor at this critical time, stressing that they have their support for him and his foundation. One of the beneficiaries, Mr. Peter Olusegun Adeleke, commended the sponsor of the free fuel supply, noting that it would add value to their business.

Another driver, Mr. Ojo Oladipo, also known as Osakele, expressed gratitude to the foundation and Hon. Falegan for the free fuel supply, assuring that they would always give him support when needed.

Another beneficiary, Mr. Oguntuyi Kole, described Falegan as “a true friend of the masses and the leading philanthropist in Ekiti.” He added that, since he has been mature, he hasn’t seen any philanthropist who will persistently give to the masses without government funds.

In his own remarks, Mr. Adebayo Fatai said he was surprised that a single person could be doing this without government asking him for financial support, calling on other Ekiti well-meaning individuals to complement his efforts to make Ekiti great. He urged ODF to continue with the good gesture, as he has written his name on gold.
