The Executive Chairman of Araromi Local Council Development Area in Ekiti State, Chief Alade Adewale on Friday donated a brand new motorcycle to a security agency to enhance their operations in the area.
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, were the beneficiaries of the motorcycle and a cash gift support while a 43 inches LG television and a generator was donated to the Police. Also, a generator and a standing fan was donated to the DSS while cash gifts were also donated to the Amotekun Corps to ensure they get a new office.
During the presentation, the Chairman said that the move is to further strengthen peace and maximum security in the LCDA while commending them for discharging their duties diligently and effectively.
He said: “Araromi LCDA is one of the most peaceful LCDAs in the state. This is very possible because of the efforts of each of your organizations have put in place in ensuring that lives and properties are protected. It is expedient on us as a team to really appreciate your efforts. This is my third year in office and I really appreciate you all because there is no loss of lives and properties and there is no breakdown of law and order.
“We equally appreciate Governor Biodun Oyebanji for the support he has given us at the local government level. He has been assisting us tremendously in ensuring we reach out to our people. I promise that we will continue to reach out to you to encourage you.
“Now that we are having the university, we will be having different people from all walks of life. We will need more efforts from the security agencies to ensure the standards we have established is not derailed. At the LCDA level, we will redouble our efforts.”
Speaking on behalf of the security agencies, Superintendent Aworinde Abayomi from the NSCDC expressed gratitude to the Chairman for being magnanimous and pledged to continue in their strides in ensuring a more peaceful and habitable society in the LCDA.
