….we can’t wait to join the walk… residents confirm to newsmen
Residents of Ayekire Local Government and Gbonyin Local Council Development Area are in high spirits and eager to participate in the saturday’s wellness walk tagged “The BAO Walk” initiated by a former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Bimbo Daramola.
Our correspondent who visited the communities such as Ode, Agbado, Iluomoba, Aisegba just to mention but a few reports that the exercise was already the talk of town as people were seen discussing extensively on the initiative and the shape it’s likely to take.
In a separate interview, some of the residents including an aged man, Mr. Segun Adegbola confirmed that they can’t wait to participate in the exercise in order to enhance the physical and mental health.
Also a trader, Mrs Bukola Ajayi noted that she had asked her son who lives in Ado Ekiti to get her sneakers which she would wear during the program.
She said: I watched the video of the programme in Ikole and Ijero, I am really encouraged to join because of the testimonies of those who participated.
“I have always known that walking is medicinal but most times it is better to do it with others and that is why I can’t wait to join the team in Ode Ekiti.
All the respondents commended Hon. Bimbo Daramola for the initiative, describing it as thoughtful.
The third edition of the BAO WALK will take place in Ode Ekiti begining from Ode Grammar School and rounded at the council’s secretariat between seven and ten o’clock in the morning.
