A former member of the House of Representatives, who represented Oye-Ikole at the National Assembly, Hon. Bimbo Daramola has confirmed that the multiple awards bestowed on Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji in recent time are not by luck but an acknowledgement of good governance.
Daramola in a statement made available to newsmen in Ado Ekiti, congratulated Governor Oyebanji and his team adding that the recognitions are compelling need for him to remain focussed irrespective of any situation.
According to Daramola, Governor Oyebanji can not but win all the awards bestowed on him because of his unique style of governance which promotes inclusiveness, peace, value orientation, capacity building, empathy, love and selflessness.
The Ire born politician and entrepreneur made reference to the new minimum which many state Governors of far richer states than Ekiti had failed to implement but Governor Oyebanji has commenced the payment since December last year.
Daramola who is the convener of the monthly wellness walk tagged BAO Walk noted that the current infrastructure development in Ekiti is incredible, but said the various progress recorded did not come on a silver platter but result of good leadership and discipline.
Daramola urged the Governor to continue in such spirit with a promise that Ekiti people would reciprocate his gesture at the appropriate time.
