…congratulates Gov Oyebanji, appointee
The Ekiti State Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs) Monisade Afuye, has hailed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the appointment of Senator Adedayo Adeyeye as the Chairman of the Board of the Nigerian Ports Authority(NPA).
Mrs Afuye described the appointment as a profound honour to all Ekiti citizens and the administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji.
The Deputy Governor said these in her congratulatory message signed by her Special Assistant on Media, Victor Ogunje, on Saturday,
Mrs Afuye urged Senator Adeyeye to bring his wealth of experience as a former Senator and Minister of Works, and expertise as a Lawyer to rejuvenate and restructure the NPA, respected as one of the most veritable revenue sources for Nigeria’s economic stability.
The Deputy Governor branded the appointment as a product of hardwork and honesty, which the former Minister exemplified and loyalty to the cause of the All Progressives Congress.
She tasked the former Minister to deploy the opportunity to strike an invincible partnership with Governor Oyebanji’s government to attract more federal presence to Ekiti and shore up the level of development, while not also jeopardising his allegiance to the Nigerian nation.
“Let me on behalf of my family congratulate Senator Adedayo Adeyeye on this appointment that I considered largely as a honour to the people of Ekiti State.
“With this appointment, it has once again been established that President Tinubu holds Ekiti State citizens in high esteem and doesn’t have scintilla of doubt in our honour and integrity to serve the nation.
“It appointment was a clear evidence to the fact that good things are happening to Ekiti State under Governor Oyebanji’s leadership, with Ekiti citizens occupying exalted and influential positions to leverage on at the federal level.
“It is axiomatic that every position like this is a national service, with onerous responsibilities that must be discharged for Nigeria to attain a height we can all be proud of through the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President Tinubu-led administration. Senator Adedayo must discharge these responsibilities zealously.
