Children’s Day: Excitement as TAJ Foundation Hosts Kids, Calls For Proper Upbringing

TAJ Suites in Ado-Ekiti was filled with excitement on Sunday as Convener of the Foundation, Mrs Tokunbo Ajila Jakande hosted numerous kids towards 2024 Children’s Day celebration.

The Illustrious Daughter of Ado-Ekiti and House of Representatives Aspirant under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in 2023 general elections said children have the right to healthy living, good education and the right to special healthcare which parents and families must provide.

According to Jakande, Children are our future and they hold the key to the sustenance of our society, as she urged parents, guardians, school teachers and other stakeholders to put their hands on deck to stand up for the children, to nurture, inculcate and produce responsible leaders of tomorrow.

Speaking further, Mrs Tokunbo Ajila Jakande described children as adorable treasures in Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 1 and Ekiti State at Large while urging parents to continue to priorities a healthy and excellent education for kids

The event was marked by parade, games, cultural display and dancing competition with rewards for winners and everyone present to the admiration of the Kids and teaming admirers of the Organizer. Mrs Jakande reaffirmed her commitment to Governor Oyebanji’s led administration whom she described as good leader Worthy of Emulation.

The Tokunbo Ajila Jakande (TAJ) Foundation, in collaboration with the Office of Community Communications, further brought smiles to the faces of 21 stranded patients at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH), yesterday.

The founder of the Foundation Said she is inspired by Governor Oyebanji’s constant support for the needy, exemplified by his generosity and interventions. She added that the foundation responded to the suggestion given by Mrs. Mary Oso-Omotosho, Director-General of the Bureau of Community Communications, to reach out to stranded or abandoned patients at the medical facility, expanding its routine interventions.
